Day 3 - May 28 - Travel South

Hello all!

We are safe and happy in Packianathapuram, the village where our community center will be. We started our morning with a 1 hour flight in a prop plane from Chennai to Tutucorin Airport, where we were met with fresh guavas from Mr. John. He is the CASA coordinator for the village of Packianathapuram.

We were welcomed to the CASA center with shawls and a delicious lunch. This will be our home for the next month, and it's very comfortable. It's barely a five minute drive to the construction site.

After lunch, we checked out the work that's been done already on the foundation, which looked great! It's hard to describe how exciting it was to see months of work in actuality.

We returned to the CASA center, got organized, checked drawings and schedule, ate dinner and hit the hay early, knowing tomorrow will be long.

Spirits are high. We all feel so grateful for the community's support and look forward to spending more time with them.
