HornRaiser Update Week 6 - The Final Stretch

We're a little late with this update... The progress with this campaign is unbelievable!! In 44 days our generous supporters have helped us raise $17, 579!!! This is 80% of our overall fundraising goal of $22,000... looks like we may be able to construct the toilets with the community center! Wouldn't that be something?? (that would mean we need to jump start research on building squat toilets)

We don't have too many project updates at the minute.

Today was the last working day of the year for our NGO contact so it may be a while before we hear back and are able to communicate with the community and contractors. On the side of travel logistics, we are working on visa applications - the sooner those are approved, the sooner we can book tickets. For fundraising, we are putting a few more touches on grant applications before we send those out. Tech continues to work on structural designs and research into building materials.

We will be updating the team member profiles soon, but here is a list of our transitions for the spring semester. We've made a few adjustments to fit team structure and the jobs we need for the spring.

Spring 2017 Roles:

Caroline Bik - Team Logistics, Risk Management (Quality Assessment and Control)

Kiera Brown - Fundraising and Budget Manager

Emily Han - Communications and Sustainability Manager (focus on community - engagement plan, cultural research)

Erin Hynes - Technical Manager (focus on schedule, project logistics, codes/permits)

Nina Lobo - Assistant PM/Tech Research/Freelance

Arvind Ramachandra - Technical Manager (focus on draft + design, codes)

Harsha Rao - Communications Manager (focus on NGO and contractors)

Danish Tharvani - Technical Manager (focus on draft + design, codes)

Anna Wittenmyer - Project Manager
